Group Voice Lesson Change

Beginning April 2, 2011 group voice lessons will be on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon!

As our pre-ballet program continues to quickly grow, the need for another 3 and 4 year old class has arrived! Join us for pre-ballet 3/4 C on Tuesdays from 4:00-4:30 p.m.

MDT Teachers

As many of you know, our wonderful Musical Dance Theatre teacher, Casey Matern, is expecting a little boy in a few weeks. On her physician's orders, she is being told to rest until he joins their family. We will miss Casey for the next few weeks and want to take a moment to acquaint you with the two instructors who will be taking over for Casey until she returns (hopefully in May). Jennifer Porter

Jenn is our amazing acting teacher at The Learning Circle; we are lucky to have her on staff. She has been involved in theater and dance from a very young age. She has been teaching acting classes for the past 9 years and brings an amazing knowledge of musical theater to our studio; Jenn has an amazing voice and will be able to share this talent with the young actors in her classes. She has 3 children who all follow in their parent's talented footsteps; they all sing and dance! Jenn will be primarily teaching the younger MDT 1 classes, but will also take the older classes from time to time.

Stephanie Johnson

Steph is The Learning Circle's Human Resource Manager. She has a background in directing and producing local community theater productions; she has directed 7 production, and produced 2. Steph loves to be on stage as well and brings an infectious energy to our classes. Steph will be able to help the students explore their imaginations and develop the character that is so important when performing on stage. Steph will be teaching MDT 2 & 3 classes but will teach MDT 1 when Jenn is unavailable.

Should Jenn and Steph both have schedule conflicts on Tuesday or Wednesday nights the owner of The Learning Circle, Stephanie Maag, will be teaching your young actors. We appreciate your patients with these changes while Casey takes care of herself. We wish her luck on the birth of her son and look forward to her return.
